Good on you. At regionals, the Inflight management tends to be very draconian about sick calls, especially in the middle of a trip (I understand that there are underlying reasons for this). Some FA's probably want to call in, but are afraid to. If the CA pulls the FA offline, that should prevent her from getting management heat.
