On April 18, 2011, twenty new hires began basic indoctrination. Three volunteers from the FDX MEC Membership Committee as well as MEC Chairman Captain Scott Stratton had the privilege of meeting and briefing our newest crewmembers last week.
This class of pilots came from a variety of backgrounds. We have pilots joining us from FedEx Training, UPS, Air Wisconsin, Pinnacle, Mesaba, Presidential Airways, and Independence Air. We also have former members of the USAF, USN and the Air National Guard.
The hiring process seems flawed..... there is no USMC representation!!
