Now FDX has crew bases in HKG (CAN) and CGN (CDG) when/if/how long before UPS figures out that perhaps they should recall and post a vacancy bid in SZX and CGN?

I always figured that the furlough was a negotiating tactic.
Offer guys a base in China and or Europe, and they'd have to pay extra to get guys to go (FDA LOA).

However, furlough, wait, then open bases in Europe and China and recall with, "Go to China/Europe or quit".

Then hire newbies to fill the slots on first year pay at no extra (LOA) cost.

But then again, that would be evil and manipulative -
