Thanks though, I appreciate the advice. I'm not without perspective enough to know that a positive attitude is one of the first casualties when the novelty of "gee whiz I'm flying a big ol' airplane" wears off. I think the appropriate expectations make things like this easier to swallow.
I have many complaints with ALPA, but it is an organization that is made of fellow pilots who volunteer their time to improve (our limit the degradation of) our profession. Just because you are new does not mean they ignore your existence. Also, since Colgan is still new to ALPA and has a relatively junior pilot group, our reps still remember what it is like for new hires.

In the end, ALPA did not have to take any specific action for my pay problem, but just mentioning to key people at Colgan management that I informed them seemed to light a fire under their butts.

And to add to my previous list, scheduling called me to get me to fly 1 hour after the deadline for long call reserve.
