The whole point of PBS is minimal open time, so no you can't just drop and trade out of whatever you want. If you want to trade off a sat/sun trip, there has to be a mon-fri trip available. I know you know that. Secondly, there are three types of people at our company that work weekends: people that want to, people that don't understand how to use the system, and reserves. PERIOD. The only weekends I've ever worked have been by choice since my reserve days. If you fight for a good contract and don't put up with all the BS, you can really make this job tolerable. Not trying to talk down to ASA guys, you just have to understand that you're entering into a whole different realm of reality when it comes to work rules. I don't care if guys think we are "stuck up" or w/e. We fought for industry leading work rules and that's what we have.
