No way to get East to West under the current "period of separate operations". You would bid East or West domicile in new-hire class depending on what your seniority could hold. Since the West still has pilots on furlough, it is currently not possible for a new-hire to bid a West domicile. All new hires will be East pilots, and could transfer West only under two possibile scenarios:
1) The pilot's union finally realizes that they will not get DOH for the seniority list integration, they accept the arbitrated seniority award, and negotiate and ratify a new CBA. (A new CBA would not only allow East to go West, but West could go East as well).
2) Prior to a new CBA, if the East were to furlough pilots and the West was recalling or hiring pilots, then the furloughed East pilots could go West, but would be placed at the bottom of the West active pilot seniority list. This scenario has already been utilized twice. Furloughed East pilots got the opportunity to transfer West and become active West pilots in the late 2000's. Currently, in the early 2010's, furloughed West pilots are being offered the opportunity to transfer East as active pilots.
