Let's add to the career expectation angle: How many of those 9L hires over the last several years could not get hired anywhere else? (ooh!)

After all, how many of them have even *heard* of National? ;-)
You may not work for any of the three, but you sure seem overly interested in the companies since 16 of your last 25 posts have related to PinnaColSaba.

Okay, I'll bite. Let's assume for a minute none of us drunk, drooling, sixth grade edjumacted pieluts could never get hired anywhere else. Wouldn't that mean we have the highest career expectation at our airline? Also, these dripping wet commercials you mention were hired after Colgan announced it was buying Qs at a time when the other two were stagnant or on the verge of furlough. That being the case they too had higher career expectations.

So using your premise: "Colganites are doomed to forever jump puddles", and using the "career expectation" theory, your argument would put us short bus riders at the top of the list. The folks at the other two, being so much better than we prop heads, wouldn't care about their position as long as they got that magic 1000 hours TPIC which they could do ... although their seniority would only let them hold the crappiest lines. But who cares, they, being the gifted children, they would skip off to the mainline of their choice after 18 month leaving the rest of us stranded on the Island of Misfit Pilots.

I, on the other hand would have proposed something that would have irked all three groups equally, because in this situation, that is the only fair result.

(Yes, I know who National was. Bet'cha can't identify my avatar.)
