If you talk to anyone who has been around the flying business for several decades (and has presumably experienced a lot of different jobs at many different levels of the flying industry), they'll flat out tell you that
QOL and job satisfaction FAR outweigh raw pay scale in determining your lifelong happiness as a pilot.
