Im currently trying to finish my bachelors in hopes of one day flying in the military. Im having difficulty paying for tuition though so I was looking into the guard. A army guard recruiter is telling me its better to go army than ang. Is this true or is it just bc of his bias? He's telling me they'll pay for 100% of my tuition, pay me $700 a month, and also pay for all my student loans. Does this sound right? He also said if I join ROTC at my university im undeployable...is this accurate? I just dont want to delay getting my bachelors. Im already 25 yrs old and I'm running out of time taking into consideration i have 1 1/2 yrs until i finish school and then try to get into a pilot slot. Would being in the guard already, help me get into a seat? The recruiter mentioned that he could send me to get trained so I can start working on planes which will get me close to the pilots and all I guess, and not to worry about my age because he can get me a waiver which will give me until im 35 yrs old...accurate? Im sure he gets paid if I sign right? Thats why I'm asking questions here and not just totally "trust" him like he told me. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks ppl!!
