I am not sure what you mean by no brainer. It would take cash to fix the situation. The company is not likely to pony up cash mid contract unless they see some advantage to do so. I got exactly zero from the Delta targeted DC plan. The said my frozen plan would cover me. The frozen plan has since been terminated and no one went back to change the oversight and make me whole. I understand its just the way the ball bounced. I don't whine over and over again about it even though we were promised if the DB terminated any follow on DC would be re targeted to make us whole. It never happened such is life. I got over it.
