I'm trying to start my path to becoming a commercial pilot, from GED to flying free. I have planned out a couple different scenarios and now I'm down to one and would like a second opinion.

Option one was to attend a community college and obtain an associates degree in an off subject, then transfer into Hampton University's flight education program and obtain a bachelor's in aviation.

Option two (the final option) is to take the SAT (instead of getting my associates to transfer) and go straight to Hampton and major in flight education and something else.

Hampton offers instructing jobs after getting my PPL so hours aren't an issue. All comments are greatly appreciated.
