I did a two year IP tour in the TA-4J, a four year F14 tour, a two and a half year aggressor tour (F16, A4, F5, F18) and a two and a half year F18 tour amassing 3800 hours. Three hundred of those hours were while in training. Fourteen years total active duty time -- averaging out to 271/year and I'm guessing 1.4-1.6 average per sortie. So, roughly 2500 sorties. Then I spent nine years in the Guard flying F16's amassing an additional 950 hours which averages out to a little over 100/year -- guessing about 600 sorties.
