From ALPA:

Did you Know?

ALPA is an international union, butcontract negotiations for each MEC are handled at the local level—with support from ALPA International. Local pilot leaders chart the course of negotiations and make the decisions, but those pilots call on teams of ALPA experts and advisors to guide them through the negotiating process. This extensive team currently includes:
o 42 professional negotiators in ALPA's Representation Dept.
o 13 financial analysts in ALPA's Economic & Financial Analysis Dept.
o 13 attorneys in ALPA's Legal Dept., and others in general counsel's law firm,
o 17 Retirement and Insurance benefit specialists, including 3 benefit attorneys, 2 pension investment advisors, and 1 pension actuary

WOW - 42 negotiators and 13 lawyers and yet we still have loopholes all throughout our Scope section. Loopholes so big, you can fly an Airbus through them, literally.

I really hope these guys tighten it up this go around.
