Ran across this interesting opening through UPS. Can anyone with the company shed some extra light? While in the program are you employed with UPS? What is the pay like while training? (I don't require much, I'm a current airline employee). I'm sure there is no end-of-training job guarantee, but if not accepted for management, can you flow into line or hangar Mx? JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a two year program for recent Aviation degree graduates possessing an Airframe and Powerplant license. The program is designed to take the trainee through various areas of UPS Aircraft Maintenance so they may gain experience and knowledge of UPS maintenance procedures while developing management skills. The trainee will work in areas including, line maintenance, major maintenance, planning and fleet operations. Ideal candidate will have hands-on aircraft maintenance experience. At the end of two years the trainee may be offered a management position with the company. Position is located in Louisville,KY without company-paid relocation funds.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
- Aviation-related Bachelor’s degree
Its typical ups to bring someone inexperience and green, Give them a quick run down on how things work then make them a manager over looking the tasks that they have no feakin clue of.
