Check for NOTAMs on DUATS, WX BRIEF, https://pilotweb.nas.faa.gov/PilotWeb/, or FltPlan.com Flight Planning & Flight Tracking for General Aviation..

There are tons of things student pilots are not supposed to do. There is nothing you shouldn't know...knowledge is power in aviation. But here is a short (by no means complete) list of things you can't do as a student pilot:

1) Carry passengers
2) Fly for compensation or hire, or carry property for comp or hire
3) Accept a land and hold short (LAHSO) clearance
4) Fly in furtherance of a business
5) Fly internationally
6) Fly with less than 3 sm. visibility during the daytime, or 5 sm. visibility at night
7) Fly without visual reference to the surface
8) Fly contrary to any log book limitations or endorsements made by your instructor
9) SVFR
