I agree that most airlines will not allow passengers into the flt. deck, and some airlines (mine) don't even allow OUR pilots to sit in the jumpseats..!

I do know that some airlines can do it.. I hitched a ride up front with a pax charter company simply by having the Captain fill out a form.. No one asked to see any of my certs.. I spoke to an Air India Capt. that said most Indian airlines give the Captain the full authority.. What a novel concept...

Good Luck, and it never hurts to ask.. The gate agents won't do it, but if you see the Capt. in the gate area, and he / she is not busy, just ask!
