American Eagle is planning to hire over 675 pilots this year. They have already hired over 300. Plans are to continue hiring well into next year as well. They are hiring into the CRJ-700, EMB-145, and ATR-72. Most new hires are assigned a jet. Junior pilot awarded captain upgrade is an October 2006 hire.
