Well I see it as that MOU as the first step toward fixing this whole mess of a career.... It was recognized that pilots from both sides were now one in the same and were given credit as such..
Also at Mesaba if you started in a different department then became a pilot you got to keep your original hire date for your seniority to use for travel passes. (back when we had travel worth using) I.E. A 2005 pilot hire would be senior to the 2006 pilot hire for upgrade and monthly bidding (but they were hired as a rampie in 2004) but if they both showed up to nonrev to Vegas the 2006 pilot hire would go first based on the extra year worked with the company overall...
