So what you are saying is either: upgrades are more than two years, or the job sucks so badly that FOs jump ship nine months from upgrade. Either way, not much of a recommendation.
Some FOs jump ship who have the seniority to upgrade immediately. Even some really good FOs, who would make great CAs. I can't say I blame them....
