New TA... again
Let’s see how this one plays out
|
Looks like the company agreed to put the bonuses in to pay rates. We shall see how it looks once they publish the TA. Sounds promising...

It’s not the $49K new hire bonus I’m sure you’re thinking of being rolled in to pay rates. It’s the laughable 1-3k retention bonus being rolled in to pay rates. We won’t see more than a 3% raise across the board. And probably not until 2021. This one is a turd just like the last 2 failed TAs. Vote NO.

Just curious what your strategy is. Excited to hear it, actually. |
I’m not expecting hefty pay raises. But before anyone votes, do it with an informed decision.

I’m excited to see the TA, that said my expectations are low. Pay rates on par with other 50 seat operators are in order, but I doubt we’ll see them. Which leaves language, work rules, soft pay, and QOL gains. If those aren’t a home run, and pay is the expected 3% over a couple years, GTFO.

After a decade of on and off negotiating the Pilot Group deserves not only a Home Run, but a Grand Slam. All the Pilots I have flown with do their job very well, so why should we work for peanuts?

Unless we give up something, I’m probably a yes vote even if it sucks (and it might not!). We’re staring down the barrel of another recession. Might as well lock in what we have for a few years.
The company won this round. Maybe we’ll get the upper hand when negotiations resume in 2029. |
Short of:
a.) Return to the pre-2008 contract (before the massive restructure concessions) adjusted for inflation. -or- b.) current book with some minor qol fixes *and* Endeavor rates. ...I’ll be a no vote. |
