Calculating Pay

Do you start the pay clock on the Push time or the Out time?

Do you calculate your logged flight time differently or the same as the pay clock?

gets popcorn ready.....

pay is brake releas (push in acars) to brake set with door open (in in acars). This is industry standard.

however the logging is not industry standard by any means. It’s Out to In. Out here is a turn of the nose wheel with engine running under own power.

so we have 5 acars time stamps.

Theres a lot more time stamps than that. Turning of the nose wheel is not one of them. Break release with steering armed and a engine running is one but no movement required.

But to answer the original question you should log out to in as the acars displayed. Pay starts with push and you get scheduled or better.

So your block time at AW is the time you log?

who cares? log whatever you want. in the end it really doesn’t matter. awac does what they want to get around far 117 requirements and it’s approved somehow by the the faa. so if they don’t care about that then then don’t worry about a couple minutes in your logbook.
