Default Air Wisconsin updates?

Hi all,

Any news for AWAC hiring? I'm considering leaving the military and I live near RDU....I sure wouldn't mind sitting reserve out of Raleigh for a while.

Their website is rather vague and doesn't have a link to submit resumes, but it announces that they are hiring in limited numbers. Maybe you gotta know someone.

Thanks!

There are currently 60+ of us on furlough. It might be a while before they hire again.

i interviewed back in late april and got hired into a pool, nothing happened until like mid june when i emailed sara and told her she could cross my name of the list. if there are furloughs i doubt the pool even exists anymore.

From what I recall reading in this forum, AWAC dissolved the pool a couple months ago. It's unfortunate for the guys that were in it, and because I'm in the Comair pool, it has me worried that Comair may eventually do the same thing.

HQZ in Appleton has been pretty quite. I don't know if that is good or bad. I'd rather it be quiet and I keep my job than hearing of more furloughs or anything more serious.

No word on recalls, but I assure you that I still can't get anything droped...because we are understaffed....

I was in the AWAC pool and it was drained and we were told we would have to start all over at the begining....If they ever start hiring again

Dont plan on the RDU base being around for a while....we are already hearing that when the lease is up on the office space next year....they are out.

Im hoping that with gas going back down...everyone can jump back to the way things were...cuz right now....morale is going down the crapper.

The future of 50 seat jets is pretty bleek..... I can only hope we smarten up and figure out how to get something a bit bigger...with the pay scales to match!!!!!

This place was amazing back in its Hay-Day....BAe 146 Capt's. were making more than United 737 Capt's.
