26 February class

Anyone else scheduled for class on February 26th?

b707driver 01-11-2018 01:35 PM

I am. Have you received any info besides the start date?

wwumarine 01-11-2018 01:49 PM

I was told that more information would be sent out next Friday. I was also told that this will be a Boeing class; there has been some rumors floating around that we would bid for aircraft and base the first day and I think that is the ultimate plan, but for now everyone is assigned an aircraft based on their interview day.

Not to be cynical but I saw the looks on some of the senior guys faces when they realized their kid might not be able to get based in ANC for a very long time and I had a feeling this is how it would turn out. I would expect the classes to be one or the other for the foreseeable future.

Maybe... I know they were prepping a non-AC specific indoc when I went through a few months ago. Probably easier to keep them totally separated for now though.

Did anybody ever get more info?

Someone told me it was an Airbus class. I want to stay in the bay.

Another few questions

Someone told me that the class can take longer than they told us. Is this true? What date do you think we will be wrapped up?

Also, does anyone know when our health benefits kick in since we start Feb 26. I'm assuming no later than March-- I don't remember anything they told me about this.

I was told there is a 30-day waiting period.

The contract is first of the month following a full month of employment. So April 1. It can only be made to date of hire if you have no other group coverage available. COBRA is considered available.

I've been told several times during the interview and from HR that it is a Boeing class. I was just moved up to the February 5th class and the paperwork I have says it is a Boeing First Officer class.
