I wouldn’t be so sure about this. I don’t think they have any time frame on when to get rid of the Airbus. They just renewed the 319 leases as an example. They will get rid of them when there is a recession or some sort of downturn and they can’t fill airplanes assuming the leases are set to expire. I think they enjoy the flexibility of having the option to keep them or dump them when the leases are up depending on what the economy is doing or how well the competition is destroying us.

Those 319 leases are valuable. We want/need more 319s, but Airbus wants the assembly lines cranking out mostly 321s, so they’re hard to get negotiated/delivered. We were set to get a bunch of 319s from Frontier, but the deal fell through, I don’t know why. American is still looking though.
