Default San Diego pilot base

So any development on a SAN pilot base? Rumors? I live just north in Carlsbad and a SAN base would be an easy commute.

Now that Skywest SAN flying is starting to transition to mainline Alaska flying it looks like a possibility. Flight attendants already have a SAN base.

Unlikely, at least until the Airbus is gone. There are number of flights out of there but they are split between the 737 and Airbus so not enough to require a base on either one.

Of course there are 73 Airbus and they will need to be replaced to make your dream base come true, I’m not sure how many 737s are on order but I’d imagine you’ll have your dream base by about the time you retire.
Welcome to Alaska.

What's with MCI? I've heard that several times now

I think (even though it's a rare chance) you'd see a SAN or JFK/EWR base before you'd ever see anything in the middle of the country.

Hot damn y’all, how y’all doing?
Puzzle palace would love a Midwest hub but not necessarily a base. Now that the Eskimo’s marriage to a uneducated-brokea$$-undesirable-trailer trash poll dancer has been completed, he may be looking for another mistress from the Bible Belt with a bit more class. SAN is already “proudly all Embraer” so don’t hold your life ‘cause them boys in Utah will never go out of business.
Y’all shouldn’t rock the boat because them folks in Gig Harbor love SAN layovers.

It's actually "pole dancer". I guess uneducated is a relative term.

Well thanks VE, I really appreciate your correction there buddy. Even college graduates make mistakes now and then. I once knew a poLE dancer who was attending law school so y’all are somewhat right, uneducated is a relative term but it is quite a bit more relevant for most of y’all undesirables.
