Default Typical Schedule/QoL

How are the schedules flying out of LAX (73/Bus)? And what is the QoL like at Alaska? Thanks

I think employee bus drivers get more days off, and with the LAX A320 base closing down plan on getting kicked out the bottom and commuting to SFO for the next 5-10 years.

Honest answer is unless you live in PDX, SEA, or ANC QOL is poor right now. We’re in section 6, which has soured, someday with a new contract QOL May improve for all. Lax bus base is closing 2021

With the upcoming LAX 320 closure, opening of SEA 320, the flying pairings/trips/lines are going to dramatically change once the base changes are complete. So it's hard to say with any certainty going forward what it will look like. I really hope the MAX gets recertified soon and so this place can move on instead of the stalled state we're in.

On the 73 side you can plan on 12 or 13 days off a month once off reserve, and it will be unproductive all-nighters. With a little seniority you’ll get up to 14 days off. Trading as a junior guy is pretty much not possible so plan to fly whatever you’re awarded.

Once you’re half way up the FO list you can reliable get 15 days off a month and sometimes get 16/17 days off.

A lot of our trips are uncommutable on both ends.. 0500 show on day 1 and 2330 return on day 4 type things. A lot of trips are commutable on one end but not the other.

Avg days off is 14.5 as a line holder yes that’s on par or worse than regionals. Trading trips is hard to impossible just Jumpseat once and ask your crew.

Need any other info?
