In terms of mergers one can attempt to “pray” & one can feel like “prey”...either way it still ends with arbitration.

Why do these always have to merge? Why can’t we just sell tickets on each other? Alaska has a good balance sheet and will recover before us. They have the same market cap in spite of their relatively small size and regional niche. Doug will pull out the merger papers if he is cornered, but not yet.

it doesn’t appear that a merger is on the near horizon. The plan for the nexts several years appears to be that we will provide the heavy lift on the west coast as international travel slowly recovers and Alaska will provide feed in SEA, SFO, and possibly PDX. I think Alaska is a great airline, but another merger? Argghhh, I’ve been through enough already.

Tough crowd? You, an anonymous person on the internet, want a list of pilots with 3,000+ names, hire dates, and birthdates.

Word from flight operations for us is the closure of the SFO pilot/flight attendant base as we transition to a single fleet....would expect American to fill in what little traffic we have there in SFO. PDX is notthing more than a wide spot in the road. I think we will feed you guys heavily in SEA and LAX...Thats about it

Well.... we openly shared everything on the internet during our integration. I just figured you guys would have posted the final award as well. No worries. Hopefully it won’t matter anyway.

I don’t recall seeing the final seniority list published on APC. Only the methodology breakdown, and you got that already.

And there’s no point in looking at past SLI cases and thinking it’ll apply here. Plenty of guys tried that here thinking it would follow a “historic” reference of much higher weighting of status/category and much lower weighting of longevity. It ended up being the opposite, and much more closer to Alaska’s proposal.

I mean when one side isn't afraid of being destroyed by the panel....and shoots for the moon and the other side makes a more conservative proposal thinking they will get punished for trying to bully a smaller pilot group....

Bottom line....no protections for furloughed Alaska Pilots while VA was hiring less qualified applicants during the Alaska furlough. The first VA guy on the list bumped a guy at Alaska who had 18 years at Alaska before VA hired it's first pilot. I think VA guys made out pretty good all considering. And we all got an early pay raise which now looks even better given our current situation. Yes its in the past....but former VA guys aren't going to convince the pilot group that they got a raw deal with the SLI. Of course things like adjusting to Alaska's schedule and the closure of the JFK base were major blows to VA guys....but thems are the breaks when your company opens itself up to being acquired.

Not if you get “AirTraned”.

Just imagine where AT pilots would be today, and on 1 Oct if they hadn't been acquired. That may help you in letting it go.
