I don’t know any of you guys but I instantly thought of this scene when I read otz’s post.
You’d think there were ten of me...

I know guys there and have discussed it. They think that IF a merger were in the works which would benefit JB pilots, they might agree to an allowance for EXISTING regional flying inherited from a merger partner. Some potential mergers would be worth it.

Only reasonable, a pilot group might cokblock a merger by standing on scope provisions if so desired, but they could never force the immediate elimination of existing regional flying... far too costly, it would just kill the deal.

I was told the scope relief is only for regional jets flown for the perspective merger partner and relief is only given if the merger actually takes place.

A B6+AS merger would need to go like this for me to be ok with it: basically all 4100 B6 pilots and all 3100 (or however many) AS pilots merge with relative seniority. QX pilots would then be stapled to the bottom, but could keep their CA seat for 2 years. Their longevity would likely either reset or be capped. E175s would fall under B6’s E190 family rates. Q400...not sure what to do with that, it’d have to be in house. Rates negotiable. SkyWest flying would be ended. B6 scope would basically have to be verbatim in the hypothetical JCBA.

I would give the JetBlue rumor a 7/10... does anyone over there know what you gave up for the no furlough clause?

The SWA rumor a 8/10
and the AAL rumor a 9/10

Yeah...not much was given up by B6. A 1 time relief for entering a code share that’s otherwise prohibited due to the fact that we aren’t hiring and are reducing block hours. ALV lowered from 74 to below 70. Line holder min guarantee stays at 70 hours. Reserve guarantee dropped from 75 to 70, with 2 additional days off. Auto snap back May 1st, or if flying reaches 80% of previous levels.
