we have 2Ku internet on 99% of our bird that works pretty well. I don’t think the company will add star link. If anything they will add the 2Ku internet to the NEOs if they keep them

no no, we like to make sure our customers have no access to the outside world when they are crossing the pacific jammed like sardines in the back of a 737 thats door plugs may or may not have the bolts installed (its the suspense that makes it fun!). Oh don't worry the pink haired girl with a tatoo crawling up her neck will throw a package ginger cookies at you from the rear galley as she calls you a fascist for not using her prefered pronouns.

The "quiet" comfy ride will be phased out almost immediately. AS does not want to deal with 330s at all. The 321s that HAL has will probably stick around for a little bit based on what Scott Day feels like. AS is dumb enough to do interisland flying with the 737s so wont be surprised when that happens. A good amount of the 787s will be in HNL with a decent amount in SEA too. However AS will have to sell an arm and a leg to get 787 gates and slots here in SeaTac so not sure on how that will work. Overall this merger seems like a mess and dont be baffled when you see 787s going to new hire 24 year olds in 7 years.
- 737 inter-island makes too much sense on paper to not do it. In practice? unless their is some rocket science too it that makes it somehow more dynamic than SE AK? HA pilots seem to think their is some kind of unique characteristic to that flying that only 717's can handle, I don't get it but time will tell I guess.
- I don't understand the value of 787s in HNL. Limits them to largely vacation travelers. Or SEA - ICN - HNL - ICN - SEA. Get the business folks and the SK vacation travelers. They use those WB gates in the S Concourse for international returns now, not sure how that works for big airplanes.
- Given the above, how does HNL not shrink?
- Took SD 10 years to get uniforms across the goaline and he was just passed over by one of his subordinates, not sure he's making decisions about anything.
- Agree this merger is a disastrous quagmire for pilot seniority progression
- If this goes sideways (which I believe is high probability) we can all waive goodbye to BM as he floats away on his golden parachute (VA FA and Lu Lu Luly in tow).

- Agree 330's are likely phased out quickly, too much overlap with 787
