Great info, thanks for all the replies everyone. You won't believe me but after posting my question this morning asking if anyone has gotten an invite.... this is the honest truth, I got that long awaited call with a Washington caller ID this evening! In the red zone this coming week, just hope I can put 7 on the board. Keep driving the ball ladies and gents.

Life is funny like that, congrats man! Punch it in and whatever you do, don't shank the extra point!! :D

Anybody know if any of the hotels along International Blvd out in front of the airport give a decent crew rate?? TIA

Try the Hampton inn and suites airport/ 28th Ave. It's directly across the street from the training center, they might give you a good rate.

What is your background if ya don't mind me asking? Still waiting on "that" call myself.

Sorry for the long delay, had my hands full the last few days. Regional captain, high TT, rel low TPIC, internal rec, 3 AK recruiting events. Stay persistent everyone, this company is a class act. I highly recommend Emerald Coast Interview Consulting. The in-person seminar or webinar, video and audio files and the phone top-off proved invaluable to me. That being said, be yourself! Alaska is a family that wants solid aviators that are stand up people as well, let them know it and show them you want to be there. Best of luck everyone!

LaQuinta SEATAC which is also close, top of hill, is $69/night crew rate

Great advice, spot on^^^

Haha, so true. Pleased to report.... It's GOOD!!:D

There aren't major airlines left like Alaska, I'm humbled.

Anyone have any crashpad info near the training center that wouldn't require a car? Or actually any crashpad info would be helpful. Thanks!

VX has an FA class starting today. Pilot training, as per a training instructor at VX, is supposed to begin again in Jan. I originally heard Nov, but now Jan. Reserve staffing is thin, we could use more pilots. Since AK likes VX sooo much as to purchase VX for that price, I dont see AK automatically axing the VX processes. It will change over time, but I think most poolies are in good shape though the March timeframe.
