Delta cutting back in Juneau.

That didn't take long. I heard it's because it's scary in the winter. You know, I probably made that up.

Well the one thing that Delta mgmt understands is revenue mgmt. If there isn't the revenue on that route to support the service, then it is what it is.

I know you see Delta's building up of their hub in Seattle as some personal attack, but in truth, Delta's mgmt tried to build a more complete west coast code share program with ALK when ALK mgmt decided to dance with any girl in the room, so like a bad date, there's been a slow breakup.

Delta wants to serve a west coast Asia hub out of Seattle, and as far as DAL pilots are concerned, ALK mgmt did the best favor possible by forcing DAL to build it's own hub.

Despite showing your hubris online, you should be happy that DAL realized their isn't enough demand from Juno to the rest of DAL's network during the winter as this will inevitably allow ALK to charge and make more from that route.

Have a great week.

Shouldn't this article say that Delta told SkyWest to stop flying year round the Juneau?

Bwaaa-haa-haa! Big "D" found it tough to fly to Juneau?
Poor kids. Probably thought it'd be a summer field trip!

They've been flying the 73 to JNU this winter.

Unlike another airline, JNU is about .03% of the DL network.

Point being, this is barely mentionable except to someone who's trying to make something of it.

Exactly.

@Mike734,
"Travel expert Scott McMurren says fares between Juneau and Seattle will likely increase after Delta reduces its operations."

You guys are gonna need to make as much money as possible, to choke down that Virgin buy. Good luck with that.

Ya. Because flying non-precision approaches in a nonradar (practically uncontrolled as well) environment in the middle of the night in Africa or South America isn't more challenging than Junoeaui.

Perspective!
