IDK. RJ was with Andrew for sure, but Jay and Josh were also on Andrew's NC. I definitely have more respect for RJ seeing him stand up to Andrew but there's still warts on both for sure.

My biggest question is who is going to be independent of GU?

Negative, it's the "VPS mafia" vs "No GU 2.0 Slate". RJ who's running for President is the same person that blew the whistle on AR for doing unethical things. I've known him for as long as I've been at G4. The guy and his slate want an independent slate that will put the pilots wants and need front and center before anything else. The other slate is made up of individuals that have publicly stated that we need to burn it to the ground if needed. Their message is Unity, but behind that it's all fighting the company instead of collaborating wisely. It's going to be more of the same. No progress, only communications to brainwash people into fighting the company. Continue to go for an impasse instead of negotiating wisely, and using the right resources to reach a fair deal. It's why the pitch is "Industry Standard". Industry standard has turned into a talking point that has made many believe that we should basically obtain a legacy like contract with day trips. That won't work, that hasn't work.

I don’t even give a fuk anymore. More smoke & mirrors we’ll be talking about 6 months from now.

When RJ was in the room with AR negotiating, RJ was always reasonable and tried finding solutions. AR's "strategy" was only to sink his heels in and push for an impasse.... Sound familiar? The current NC has operated in the almost exact manner, and JR has been involved in doing so. You and I know GU has been more than happy to just keep fighting Allegiant and has done everything (will continue to do so indirectly) to get to an impasse. He wants to have that notch on his belt. VPS has become an echo chamber where the source of info is JR, his pals, some who make up the current BUS (slate). Like Jimmy said, every person on that slate is a good person, but they are absolute hardliners that believe the only way to a contract is through an impasse. I encourge you and everyone to ask questions, hard direct questions to both slates and decide. But I assure you (bc you're a smart guy), that it be very evident who is actually interested in putting Allegiant pilots FIRST while colaborating with the Airline Division director, and who will allow him to give the directives. Cheers

you hit the nail on the head with Untersheer only wanting an impasse and a release. That is not happening this administration. So we can wait four more years til 2029 or negotiate?

Unterseer will never allow 50/70 because that is different from legacy contracts and he needs to prove he can get a legacy contract for the IBT so he can become the leader of the airline division.

The current NC are all pawns on Unterseer’s chess board.

Now folks, I’ve gotta tell ya…the BUS slate? That whole operation’s being steered by Rob S. I flew with him back when he was a first officer, and bless his heart… let’s just say, he wasn’t exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. Putting him in charge of our entire union would be like handing the car keys to somebody who still can’t find reverse.

I’m voting Blue skies, no question about it. And from what I’ve been hearing out there, just about everybody else feels the same way.

Agree.
Speaking from decades of experience, when a group tells you they are the unity slate, we need to build unity - run, don't walk, the other way.

True. Also, before I fill out a n o t h e r survey I would like the promise of publishing the results. Pretty sure most pilots are looking at the state of the current aviation industry and wondering if we will see our RB paid out before we see allegiant with a new partner(s) in some future merger.

Unity slate really means

1. never question your union leadership,

2. management is always lying and

3. don't ever, ever think for yourself your union will take there of that for you.

I don't know Skiles real well but he reminds me of dan wells and that is not a good thing.

“Unity” slate is a hard no for me.
