Default First year FO pay

According to APC they are adverting $105.01hr first year FO pay. Is this accurate?

Current rate + 82.1% increase= $105.01

No. The first year pay is $57. There is a retention bonus but it won't be paid til the CBA is ratified, which will almost certainly be well past when you're off first year pay. Guarantee pay is $57x70 a month.

Default $57

They are not advertising $105, nor are they paying $105. First year pay is $57 x 70 hour guarantee = $47,880 annual base. They are negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement which they hope will bring them to $105 at some unknown time in the future.

Nothing like an unbinding promise from a company to pay more at some point down the road unless they decide not to. Remember, this is the company that couldn't wait to furlough pilots during covid

dude, the promise is in writing with the union. It’s as binding as the CBA. Why spread blatant lies?

FO pay is still ridiculously low, and the bonus won’t be paid for years so all potential hires must be aware of that. But we don’t need to feed them blatant lies. The bonus is getting paid. It’s being accrued and on the balance sheet. $17m last quarter.

that is not accurate. First year pay is $57. You will be paid the difference ($48/hr) when the cba is ratified. Management and our union have a written agreement that the “retention bonus” will be paid out when cba is ratified.

it’s disingenuous to say that first year pay is $105 when only approx half of that is paid right now. The other half probably won’t be paid til 2025 time frame.

“Contractually locked in”

Contractually mandated & violated daily since 2016:

You really do need to clam the f down. How many posts do you do a day running your mouth all over this forum like anyone really cares your opinion. You have consistently been wrong about so many things it is laughable. There is nothing binding the company to pay that bonus. At least half the guys I fly with don't believe they will ever see that money. As binging as our CBA...lol. I'm not saying it won't be paid but there are plenty of outs for them not to pay it and if you come here and work for a weak promise of future pay then you will get what you deserve

So AR, management and the union are just lying to us that they signed an MOA for this accrual/retention bonus? So management is falsifying their SEC filings that include the retention bonus as a liability on the balance sheet?

if your answer is: “management won’t pay because they can violate their collective bargaining agreements whenever they want”

then my question is: let’s just get rid of the cba, what’s the point of any of mediation, a cba, etc if none of it matters??

drop the grand conspiracy that AR and Management are lying to us…
