I know it's hard to read a rejection letter and even harder to hear people working here say it's a blessing in disguise. Trust me though, it is utter chaos here now and the work rules tell only part of the story.
Many people are TDY this month after being told no TDYs were planned. Of those people many didn't know they were TDY until they tried to bid and it showed them in another base. The schedules are screwed up top to bottom and we just received an email telling us that they know a lot of it is awarded incorrectly but don't email them anymore. They aren't going to change it and they don't have time to respond to anyone's emails. The new software can't track anyone's flight and duty times for January 1st - January 4th. No one can look and see if a plane is late. Stories of people being called twice in one night for a forced change to another trip (work rules allow this for any reason at any time) are being compared to people showing up at the airport and the rest of the crew is at home asleep because they were never notified. We've sub-serviced dozens and dozens of flights to Falcon, Miami Air and Sun Country for thousands of dollars a flight hour while refusing to offer premium pay to our own pilots to pick them up. Our union is suing the company to remove workrules they created while in negotiations. Seriously. To say it's gone badly is to understate it. I hope I've shed some light on why it may be a blessing in disguise to get the TBNT email. Best of luck to all of you. |

AIS still works for the Flight Following function. You can verify times and see if a plane is late. Only function not working is the crew information.
Just re-read my post and I sound pretty negative. It bums me out that we had a place 2-3 years ago that so many of us would have done anything for. |

Yep, rampant greed and disregard for everything but the bottom line have destroyed a once excellent business model.

Any pilots at Allegiant start out as an internal hire?

“At the end of the day”
Does anyone think we will ever see another “coffee corner”? I miss all of that transparency and openness.
