Rescheduled again

I'm getting tired of this practice. I've had 3 out of 5 of my last trips reassigned. Was this a normal practice at AA before the merger or is this something new? I'm not sure why I even bid for a schedule.

I can't remember the last time I was reassigned. However, of the 4 or 5 times I have been they mostly work out in my favor by getting done earlier.

Thank all the yes voters.

If your reassigned keep in mind you should be paid premium anything over the original footprint of the trip. Should have a AF code in your HI1 and HI3

I've been reassigned on at least half my recent trips.

Between this garbage, recovery obligation, and fewer days off; there are very few advantages to holding a line these days.

I'm still amazed that lineholders get fewer days off than reserves. I'm pretty sure that is an industry first-thanks once again to our damn union. What exactly do we pay dues for?

Unfortunately same thing used to happen with the old contract. I can remember months where no trips went as planned. The only better thing now is the time and a half out of footprint. Narrow body has been this way for a long time. I have found that transcons are messed with less than going through hubs.

As for days off. I'm lucky if I get 10. I don't know how long I can keep this up. My family misses me. On a positive note PBS has enabled me to get the most important days off. Bad part is that they are the only days off I get.

The contract needs serious attention. I have always felt I was talking to deaf ears when I would bring up my former regional airline having better work rules than AA. Most did not believe me. One provision had minimum 15 days off if you were scheduled more than 92 hours. I would love to have 15 days off now. Heck I'll take 12 and that would be better.

APA definitely looks to be extremely closed-minded about any work rules.
I'm not sure whether they don't appreciate the value of good work rules, because they have never had them.... Or perhaps it is more of an "I had to put up with the suck-so you will too" attitude. Either way, it's no good.

I would vote this union out if I could. The leadership actually works against its members.

Since FOS last November I've been reassigned four times. The previous four years I was reassigned once. This has to be addressed in the next contract since it's the way AA does it.

Scheduling does not agree with this if you are on RSV. I was reassigned last week which ended up with a DHD back to base on a golden day. I asked for premium for the dhd and the supervisor promptly said no. Contact compliance said the best I would get is OG for the dhd. This was most definitely outside my original sequence footprint AND on a supposedly untouchable golden day. But at least I can wear shorts and flip flops in first now!

Problem

Reassignments past the footprint on the last day are fatiguing.
