Default Last class date this year in Sept?

There's a rumor floating around that the last class date for this year is in Sept. Can anyone confirm or deny this or care to speculate?

I'm in new hire training now and they have said multiple times that they would be hiring as fast as they can for the foreseeable future.

Not that things can't change but I would be very surprised if this rumor were true.

AA has only hired 400 this year and said they are going to hire 700 so 300 more to go. I'm sure we will be training the entire year.

I hope so!

I have been hoping our hiring would take off-like all the other airlines.

I have several friends whom I have written Rec letters for-and every single one has been hired elsewhere. Folks ain't gonna wait around

Seems like they need to be hiring more not less, to get ahead of the coming attrition. But I'm not King so...

What is the average time guys are waiting to hear back after finishing their pilotcredentials profile?

Probably never unless you're single seat military. The flow throughs pretty much take up all the civilian spots.

In 3 years as a 190 captain I've probably flown with less than 10 civilian OTS hires.

In my class of 39 there was only 1 civilian OTS hire. Everybody else was a flow or military.

That's because your friends don't fly fighters.

Fingers crossed. Too bad that the class structure is shutting out quality OTS guys. Time will tell cause there are only so many Military guys and eligible flowthroughs.
