Default Company Seniority / Bid Status Snapshot Tool

Is there a program out there w/in AA that will give a snapshot of your current seniority and what bid status you could hold? Delta pilots have access to a 3rd party pay for use program called Seniority Widget (WidgetSeniority.com) that was created / maintained by a DAL pilot.

I realize that I can go into AApilots and get this info by selecting different bases / equip / seats/ etc, but I'm interested to see if someone out there has cracked this code and made a one stop shop!

Thanks in Advance...

Play around in Personal&Profile on AAPilots. There’s a screen which shows the junior seniority in each status. I think it’s in the 3XP screen - there’s some buttons on the top right that you can cycle thru.

I prefer the APA ‘PBS 3XP’ link.

The beauty of the 3XP program is you can actually look on the APA site and see what trips you should actually fly. Much better than just seeing where you sit on the list compared to others.

I was checking for a friend last night. Three bases - 44%, 55%, and 62%. The 44% bid status has the worst trips at that relative seniority.

Ditto on the APA "new 3XP" tool. You can also look at where the coverage days fell near your seniority, which can give you good intel on where you can try a "must off" when you bid. Litesabre has a great PBS tool which shows you what trips went junior to you in any status you care to inspect.

Where? There’s a ton I don’t know about LS. Seems like most options are iPad/laptop based. I’m mostly an iPhone guy.

It’s called “trips”. Basically trips that went jr to you will show as green. It doesn’t tell the whole story though, because it’s not looking at the constraints of your PBS requests. Still can be useful. Should work just fine on your phone. I think “nimble trader” is the only application that doesn’t work on a phone/iPad (which is why I don’t use it).

We put out a snapshot tool that does exactly this, for Delta pilots. Even better it's a pilot-friendly price: free

If one of you guys wants to send us a copy of your seniority list we should be able to slap together an AA version of our tool relatively easy. Excel is best, but we can deal with pdf too or whatever format it exists in.

Send via PM here or to [email protected] and we'll see what we can do.

I'll post back here if/when we get it up on the site.

Slice, first off, thank you for all the great info on here. I tried searching through some of your other posts on the subject but didn't seem to find the answer I was looking for.

For those of us without access to the AA data directly is there some ballpark seniority percentages for when you'd reasonably expect to hold different seats (bid into only, not line holder)? Mainly looking for what company wide seniority percentage you'd expect to be able to bid W/B FO, N/B CA and W/B CA at a junior base (LAX or NYC).

Wondering for the reason of figuring out a very basic progression through each seat. e.g. at 80% you could go to W/B FO, 60% to N/B CA and 20% to W/B CA.

Seems to me using percentages makes more sense than years to upgrade given the huge retirement numbers and big difference that a year or two could make when getting hired in regards to progression.

Flyingherc - check out my previous posts. I had a thread related to bidding different seats in the various bases.
