Yes. DCA (737) should also be within a year, plus or minus, for those so inclined.

New hire drops tend to have 737 and 320 to LAX and LGA, and 190 to PHL. Every now and then 737 to MIA. No more S80 to DFW.

There’s an entire thread devoted to class drops.

Sliceback posts some interesting seniority snapshots every now and then.

Very helpful! These forums are invaluable! Thank you.

Actually I believe they will combine relatively quickly. Once the FAs are integrated I’d imagine we'll move to a single status in DC. Since the domestic pilot count there is relatively small the training would be doable in a short time.

Am I missing something?

Just jokin' around... insofar as the Int (UDC) is 320 only, and the Dom (DCA) is 737 only. Can't really combine them... I guess they could each expand.

Silly... I know

Guys can get rough estimates from the date of the post to the date of the junior guy getting a base.

It’s not necessarily linear especially in a small base or bid status. For example a mini wave of ten guys getting into BOS doesn’t mean guys will be able to get into BOS quickly. It might mean just the opposite, that BOS will be stagnate BECAUSE of the current influx.

The stock market statement ‘past performance doesn’t guarantee future success’ comes to mind.

Question about 190 upgrade. This new bid has 15 CA slots. Can you bid and be awarded a ca position while still on probation?

I guess you’ll be writing your own probation reports. Ha

No. JCBA, Section 17:

C. Qualifications Required for Bidding and Filling a Vacancy

1. All pilots may bid for and be awarded any vacancy with the following exceptions:

A probationary pilot cannot bid for a Captain vacancy.
