Yes, I didn’t mention it because he wants to stay near LGA. I was really close last bid, now I actually have to think about it. I like my weekends off though, so I’ll probably wait until I can hold LC above the coverage line.

With the S80 in DFW replaced by 73 and Bus, those S80 CA that cannot hold CA on other equipment will open slots for other FO to move up to CA.

Also, I know several S80 CA that are close enough to retirement they have said as soon as they get kicked off the Mad Dog, stick a fork in them, they are done. That will open up more CA slots on the 73 and Bus backfill for the S80 metal that can go to FO that will now be able to hold CA.

Hope the Schoolhouse can handle all these and the upcoming retirement cascade of retraining, as well as the new hires.

Life is going to become even more interesting.

Very few are retiring early.

The 80 has a LOT more commuters than people think, they will be dispersing all over. From what I have heard most want to keep their CA spots.

Yes, a lot are commuters. Many of the commuters are exTWA living in STL. I know many of them.

Pilots lie. "I'm retiring early" is right up there with "I'll never marry a flight attendant again."

Hahaha! Man, so much truth in this statement.

Anybody know (or care to speculate about) the vacancy bid run schedule for 2019? I thought we were doing these quarterly but it seems more frequent early next year.

Trying to plan my base moves accordingly... thanks!

Bid what you want. As simple as that. Don't try to guess, it serves no purpose.
