Default China flying

https://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/united-prompts-contest-with-additional-shanghai-flig-453290/

Delta and UAL are applying for additional China flying. UAL wants the DOT to give AALs 14 dormant frequencies to DAL and UAL. I’m sure American will announce something exciting in response like seasonal service from Charlotte to Colorado Springs on a 76 seat RJ

“But wait there’s more”...

Been hearing that Republic may reconfigure it’s E-170s coming off contract to comply with the AA scope limitation for “small RJs”.

No it's cool, "Vasu the Great" has us running our shiny new 787's between LAS and DFW now.

I would hope the company wouldn't give up those China flights. Really, really hope. We've stayed in Cuba despite the crazy low load factors. I know they are losing money, but obviously Delta and United are in this for the long haul.

VtG also runs those superior 787s to and from places far far away. Too bad those shiny new 787s can't take a full load most of the times. But he saved money that wAAy instead of buying an Airbus product.

At least DL has figured out how to run a good operation.

Wonder what VtG will say about this awesome feedback he's about to receive. Probably another 10+ seats in the mighty Max, since it's hardly ever* weight restricted.

* sarcasm

There’s blood in the water and sharks are circling. Our competition is playing hardball and making things difficult. Chinas economic conditions are all but imploding, AA has pulled back on Asia routes and our stock is close to worst of breed.
