I don't want to be Mr. Negative here, but most news I get about AA are negative.

That other airline based in ATL makes headlines with their 220s, 350s, new routes etc. and we can't even get our TLV service back!

Sad.

My wife and I were looking at going to LHR and wondering why there were 100-200 seats open on every flight...then I realized Vasu was so proud to report going all 777. Yikes. Gonna be tough to make money when over half the plane is empty.

I'm also concerned about Brexit.

The very next week after AA pulled the plug on TLV, DL increased their weekly frequency to TLV out of NYC to 11.

JFK-LHR has been 777 for many many years. 2003 was the last 767 on that rout if mt memory is correct. Most are 3 class aircraft and you should take advantage of a light load to get some great service and AA pajamas. I recommend an LED flicker candle for dinner with your wife. The service is really nice. We are the only airline in the US that still has the super fancy service. Like our transcon service from JFK in the A321T. Easy to put on weight on these flights.

I would be willing to bet we still make money on a half empty 777 JFK to LHR. Big bucks and many last minute business people. The flight my wife and I did was $9000 round trip each. Taxes are expensive coming out.

Awesome that is exactly what we were thinking. Thanks!

I’m trying to be positive but I had no idea AAL only makes half the revenue of Delta and United in the trans Atlantic region. That just downright sucks. I thought AA was supposed to be strong in the Atlantic. I would hate to see the Pacific numbers.

Clearly we need more 175s at Eagle.

Most of my flights are full to LHR. Most are -200 with all business up front, no first class. Those are -300s and there’s only one departure out of JFK to LHR on a -300.

Yeah, the front part of the jet pays the freight. The main cabin is gravy. (Assuming business/first are revenue).

Heck, even the PHX LHR flights are running full. It’s a big market for us.

F/As (when you get the old school crews) do a great job with the service but they constantly tell me how it used to be better. I don’t eat the meals on the -200 because the food just isn’t that good. The true first class meals on the -300 are really good.
