Joe Not sure where your getting your information from as I see your a retired 747 Captain so I doubt your AA but the company has approach APA over the last 5 years about setting a time on call outs as well as asked for airport ready reserves. |

As of right now, short call reserve with weekends off, while living in base is the best deal at AA. Holding a line sucks, you’re forced into flying 80 plus hours a month red and redder makes your schedule almost immutable, youre subject to reassignment and recovery obligation. We shall see what the next contract brings.
