So everyone has really junior CAs now that’s no longer a shocker like it was when DL first started this shift.
so now the question needs to be when can I be a line holding CA?

I was hired at UA in 2013:

I can hold one of the most Junior lines as a CA in EWR/SFO 320.

i can hold CA in EWR/DCA/SFO 320 and EWR/DCA/SFO/LAX 737.

holding junior CA is great but how long do you have to suck reserve eggs? A lot of pilots at majors won’t bid up until they are a solid line holder making forward progress in the seat difficult. Iv held CA for a little over a year now and am just at the point of junior crappy line.

With the amount of people leaving this airline the next 8-10 years it won't be long at all. We probably got to hire over 1400 a year over the next 8 years and that might not even be enough.

It’s honestly a little funny.

“I HAVE TO WAIT 5 YEARS AT MAINLINE TO HOLD A LINE AS A CA?!?!? WTF?”
