Is this just because of Corona? Or is it a multitude of other issues as well? I apologize that I don't watch the news or even worse foreign news that much but did the protests a few months ago die down completely? Did life return back to normal before Corona hit?

Analysts are saying China’s economy may return to full steam by summer. I hope this is short lived.

Meanwhile Italy who was already slowly sliding into a recession with likely be in a full blown recession by the fall and pulling the rest of Europe down with it. A hurting EU will make it difficult for us to recover as well. I fear this will last a while, at least until the end of the year. At least...

Newsroom - American Airlines Announces Additional Schedule Changes in Response to Customer Demand Related to COVID-19 - American Airlines Group, Inc.

For international, they are basically cancelling everything international except one daily DFW-LHR, MIA-LHR, and 3x weekly DFW-NRT. Everything to South America is cancelled, and reductions in Central America/Mexico/Canada flying.

No specifics on the domestic travel reductions.

Suspended until May..not cancelled. Semantics, I know. But in these uncertain and stressful times it helps to keep things straight and in perspective.

Go ahead and save this post and revisit it in a few months. But this situation will be on its way to normal by the June/July time frame.

eventually yea. Lotta devil in the details as to when, whether there’s any escape clause or whether the company will just ignore it and take the hit

I believe they have 15 months to comply. But I imagine they’ll want to reduce capacity where it makes sense and that very likely includes regional flights / aircraft.
