Default The new, new plan and draw down

Parking 75% of widebody fleet through May
Parking 20% of domestic for April, 30% for May (yes you read that correctly, it’s actually accelerating)

The real question that needs to be asked: what about after May? If in June we begin to see a slow but consistent return to normal..including the wide-bodies flying again, then this won't be so damaging long term.

Millions of people worldwide are going to lose their ass with the shutdowns of schools, businesses, countries, and industries . With that, folks are going to treat discretionary income a hell of a lot differently once this thing passes. IMO we are talking years, not months, to get back to the demand levels of the past.

Perhaps, but this seems to be driven by Trump putting the country on lock down. Once this virus is under control, which for all intents and purposes seems like it’s a matter of weeks to months, the international borders will open back up. And with that, international flights.

Have Delta and United suspended all their international flying? It would help put this into context if we knew.

With cuts this deep, how long can AA weather the storm (if at all)? Seriously asking. This is starting to look very, very ugly.

my thought was 3-5 month before they are forced to file. But purely speculation. I’m sure the feds will recuse with helicopter money but AA can barely pay their current loans so how can they pay the government too? Be interesting and scary to see how it unfolds.

You obviously don’t watch financial news.
It mostly applies to QE but given our industry you could coin that phrase for airlines bailout money as well.

Got me there. I see why you’re all worked up though. Probably watching the news 24/7, only stopping long enough to go out and try to procure 45 jumbo pallets of toilet paper.
