Sensationalized? They were sent letters to pay in full (if they took voluntarily leave) with no repayment plan options available, or they would be TERMINATED. Only those on “involuntary leave” are being offered a repayment plan.

Trying to understand the issue. The FA’s who were on unpaid leave had no income hence owe no dues. The ones who took paid leave (assuming this offered) owe dues on any wages paid while on leave even though they were not working?

The union needs more funding to lobby for keeping masks on and performing minimal cabin service.

Sounds like they may have a monthly flat fee dues, as opposed to % of income like we do?

Guess the union could argue that you still owe the monthly fee if on a voluntarily leave. Union claiming that since they negotiated the LOA's, they still get their dues. Seems kind of chickenpoop to me.
