Good Morning,
First poster here.
I received an invite to this event.
This is a fantastic opportunity and what seems like potential movement forward with American.
Aside from, be yourself, what advice would you give in attending this event? In particular the small details, you wish you may have done differently or had known?
Being a DFW guy- and wishing to remain here- it’s a clear choice.
Feel free to DM as well.
Appreciate the insight and fly safe folks.

I’m curious. When did you register? I registered on Dec 16th as soon as I saw the listing and still got told it was full 2 days ago. RTAG I had the same fate but was able to score an unscheduled meeting after waiting for 6 hours. Is this normal or is there more to this ya think?

So it sounds like it wasn’t full. It sounds like a cover for a different reason. I know I have the qualifications. Pretty odd.

I know some very qualified good pilots that keep getting the unable to confirm your slot email. I was told that no meet email was not an indication that aa won’t hire you. Also told that the formula for getting a meet the chiefs confirmation was a mystery. That being said can someone just head out to SLC and wait and see if an opportunity opens up?

The invite to the MTC emphasizes that "this is an Invitation Only session and unregistered guests will not be granted access."
When you enter the MTC you check in with a recruiter, they verify your invite and then you receive your name tag. I wouldn't recommend showing up without an invite.

The only thing I guess you could try to do maybe one or two days prior (if you can still make it) is emailing them and asking them if any spots have opened up due to cancellations. Not sure if they would go for that, but when I went last year to an event they said a fair amount of invited people had to back out due to unchangeable work schedules at their current employer. So might be worth a shot?
