Quote: almost 73% yes vote

no surprise. Delta, arguably THE industry leading contract, passed with 78%. so 22% over at Delta were still unhappy
Yep. Talk to Delta guys you know about it. I have. One of my besties is a captain there and we talked about their contract vote a few months back when I had a layover in ATL. He said there’s a significant percentage of their pilots who are NOT happy with their contract. They call the yes voters sellouts, spineless, etc.

Sounds familiar.

Quote: I’m glad you guys are getting paid, but gloating on here as if you guys did some great thing for the industry is far from the truth. You guys didn’t contribute anything.
Literally three posts into this thread and this is what you took away from it? Who's "gloating" or claiming that AA somehow changed the labor landscape of the industry?

Quote: The money was too great. When the signing bonus gets big enough, it’s hard to say no. Saying no wouldn’t have done anything anyway. APA negotiated what? 4 different agreements and not a single one raised the bar? You are now tied with Delta except for a bunch of qol items, but those don’t matter anyway…….to you. Enjoy the payrates negotiated by everyone except your negotiating committee.

you’re still here? Loser!

Quote: I guess you haven't been around long enough to see DAL and UAL destroy their retirements until finally AA had to succumb due to UAL and DAL working for less. It's cyclical.
Also hard line at 50 seat RJs

AA/APA held on to contract language on many things many now have no idea could even be possible.

The only Delta guys that were truly not happy with the contract by in large where our more senior pilots I. That this was the last chance to try and recover some semblance of their retirement. This was a promised pillar and unfortunately fell through for them. The others, retro pay was not true retro pay/pay rates weren't high enough. The contract here at Delta was largely a big win, the issue is the company not holding up their end of the contract...specifically scheuling/crew tracking. Glad you guys got something, at least you can move forward, best wishes.

There are even more now that they are finding out what's really in it. Some things won't be implemented until 2025.

Do you see the irony that you have the last post in the 3 top AA threads(as a Delta pilot).... and they are all about bashing ALPA?
