One of the M&H sweater options is a cardigan and is a whopping ~$50. If you really need shoulder loops, the Army optional purchase cardigan is an equivalent.

Has anyone ever had a standard tie converted to a zipper? Or heard of it being done? I scoured the internet figuring surely this is a service someone would offer, but best I found was one site doing necktie > bow tie.
I used to make fun of zipper ties, but then one day I realized I hated tying and untying day in day out. Tried a zipper, saw the light. Kind of a bummer when I went in for my fitting “What tie do you want?” “zipper?” “Nah AA didnt give you that one.” Womp womp.

Agreed. I got the standard issue M&H zipper as a wee regional hire. Got a nice Cut Above zipper at my last job, definitely much better.
Impulsively I got the clip on tie, thinking it would be good enough. But I don’t love it, thinking of exchanging it which got me wondering if some company out there did conversions. No luck so far.

I'd prefer a zipper tie. Short of that, just tie a regular tie once. Lossen it enough to take off over your head each night without undoing the knot. Pull it over your head the next moring and tighten without having to tie it all over again.

Ratchet belts? Yeah they’re awesome.
Ah see but now I’m at a legacy. I don’t have a Miata yet, so I can’t debate its merits or complain about its status. But I can air my grievances about the darn zipper ties.
but yeah I think I’ll exchange the clip on, and do this. Tie once, cry once.

Zipper ties are great until the zipper jams on you at an overnight and you can't get the tie off your head.
