For those WB captains...I'm not sure that using DOH is a good barometer as there is still a big difference in longevity vs seniority at those DOHs.

Find the AA new hire nearest that seniority and it would be a better 'apples to apples' comparison.

Just checked...junior 777 was an AA new hire. Second to the bottom 787 CA was also an AA new hire. The jump of 156 seniority numbers is the end of the 1993 new hires and the beginning of the 1998 new hires which is why there's a 5 year jump.

You're right, a typo on my part. Thank you.

Did you just say a new hire got 777? What was the hire date of the most junior captain on property?

no, he did not say that. They are talking about which of legacy carriers the junior WB guys got hired at back in the day.

I can add a little more color to it from my perspective. First I'm amazed I figured out how to log back in after so long. I'm an AWA 97 hire and went to 777CA school in May of 2022. At that time only a west 97 hire could touch it, no AA 98 or East 99 hire could hold it. The East and AA hires adjacent to me on the SLI are 86 and 91 hires respectively.

In recent vacancy awards I have seen AA 98 hires get it, but I'm not sure about East. If not already, it shouldn't be to long I would imagine. TWA folks would be sometime after that.

Will this Vacancy award be the one that influences class drops for April or will there be another one open/close between now and then? -Signed a new guy trying to understand the system a bit better.
